His lawyer, Giorgio Asuma, delivered the obituary written by the composer himself outside the clinic where Moriconi died, Reuters reported. It starts with "Me, Inyo Morikone, I'm dead."

In a touching one-page text, Moricon thanked his close friends and family for their comrades, as he named his children and grandchildren and said, "I hope they understand how loved you are."

He dedicated "a more painful farewell" to his wife, Maria Travia, whom he married in 1956, saying: "I renew to her the exceptional love that binds us together and I am sorry to abandon him."

He said he wanted a private funeral because I "don't want to disturb".

The tall musical maestro consisted of more than 400 results for cinema and television, as well as over 100 classic works. His degree for The Good, The Bad And The Ugly (1966), and is one of the few successful collaborations with director Sergio Leone, is one of the most influential soundtracks in history.

What a legacy of work He who leaves it behind. Rest in peace. "
