American actor Chadwick Bosman, who played the Black Panther in the popular superhero movie set in a fictional African country, is being honored after his death Friday at the age of 43. Black Panther

The eldest son of civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. said that Mr. Bosman "revived history" in his portrayal of prominent black people including baseball player Jackie Robinson and soul singer James Brown.
Ava DuVernay, who directed a series of hard-core films and documentaries including Salma, wrote about the 1960s civil rights struggle, "Have a nice comeback, King."
