The American New York Times, the Democratic candidate in the US elections, the US presidential election, Joe Biden, has advanced in Pennsylvania over Donald Trump, and if he wins it, he will become an elected president.

The newspaper pointed out that Biden's progress in the state comes from the increasing confidence of Democrats that he will win Pennsylvania and the presidency, and the state has 20 votes in the electoral college, and if he gets it, he will exceed the 270 threshold required to achieve victory.

With nearly 31,000 votes counted from Philadelphia on Friday morning, the city that voted overwhelmingly for Biden, the Democratic candidate overtook the president by 5,578 votes.

Trump had led by a large margin over Biden on Election Day, and at some point the progress reached about half a million votes, but with the counting of absentee votes and by mail during the past two days, most of them were favorable to Democrats. The Secretary of State of Pennsylvania announced that all votes would be counted today.

Biden leads in the electoral college votes by obtaining 253, without the Arizona votes, and if he succeeds in Pennsylvania, he will not matter the outcome of the rest of the remaining states as he would have obtained 273 votes in the electoral college.

Biden also continues to advance in Georgia, by 1,100 votes, and if Biden wins it and then Nevada, which he is expected to win, or Arizona, he will become president-elect, according to the newspapers.
