An image from the Curiosity rover showed the eccentric rock formations on Mars, which looked like a beautifully carved entrance. On Mars, or perhaps a gateway to another world as he describes it, and others describe it as a tunnel to the center of the planet or the entrance to a secret underground tunnel.
In fact, it is just a crack in an old rock with a small hole in it. This is also an optical illusion of a phenomenon known as pareidolia. Winds are known to dominate Mars, causing everything from small dust winds to huge storms.
The image, known geologically as Greenhi Ground, was taken on May 7, 2022, with the MAST camera on the Curiosity Mars rover.
