Annabelle, the creepy doll that has inspired many horror movies, is safe and sound at home after a rumor sparked by Wikipedia made fans believe the possessed doll ran away.
Annabelle is preserved in a mysterious museum in Monroe, Connecticut. Fans began tweeting about her apparent escape after someone updated her Wikipedia page to announce that she ran away on August 14 at 3 am according to The Wrap.
Tony Sperry, the son-in-law of the paranormal investigators who own the museum, posted a video on YouTube saying, Annabelle is alive well, I shouldn't say is alive. Annabelle is here in all of her infamous glory.
The doll in the museum has a Raggedy Ann look to it, but it was the inspiration for the vintage-looking doll in the movies.
Sperry said Annabelle never left the museum and said there is a high-tech security system in the museum and the police generally respond quickly.
But before Sperry could make things right, fans would spend a field day speculating about what happened to Annabelle, like flying in first-class or suggesting she visit the White House.
Annabelle is about a doll owned by a girl named Annabelle. She made her debut in 2010 The Conjuring" and produced three more films Annabelle Annabelle: Creation and Annabelle Comes Home
